Mary was born March 30, 1848 in Washington County, Arkansas. She was the daughter of John Van Hoose and Rachel Mills.

She married John Fine on December 19, 1867 in Washington County, Arkansas. ^[1]

Mary passed away January 9, 1938 in Crawford County, Arkansas. ^[2] She was laid to rest in Newberry Chapel Cemetery, Alma, Crawford, Arkansas, United States. ^[3]
